Our popular Couch to 5 km (C25K) programme welcomes just about anyone who would like to get up and start running. From the complete novice to seasoned couch potatoes the C25K programme will slowly build your confidence, gently introducing your body to movement, starting off alternating between walking and running small distances. As the weeks progress our dedicated C25K Coaches will guide you through a series of structured exercises that will improve your fitness so you don't feel so out of breath.

The C25K programme is a great way to start running. It's also a great way to boost your mood and make you feel energised.

Our aim is to provide all the support and motivation for you to reach your goal. Whether you just want to be more active in your live, need to change your lifestyle for health reasons or to lose excess weight or even if you feel your life is spiralling out of control and need something to get your back on track, we hope being part of the club will get you on track to a healthier, more active and enjoyable lifestyle.

Teesdale Athletic Club do not have any plans for the next C25K programme, we will publish details of any further programmes here when we have finalised details.
We appreciate taking the first step and deciding to enrol on a C25K programme is sometimes the most difficult. We're here to help. You will be interested to learn many of our current members who now enjoy competing in 10 km races graduated from previous C25K programmes.
