On April 22nd, along with 36,000 other runners, Mark Robson took to the streets of central London to compete in the annual London Marathon – the second largest in the world. Mark completed the race in 6 hours 54 minutes and raised £500 for the mental health charity ‘Action for Children’ which was then matched by his Employers ‘The Royal Mail’. The route, stretches from Greenwich to St James’ Park, passing by some of London’s most iconic landmarks Mark (along with many other runners) found the hot weather conditions extremely challenging. In fact, Mark noted that some water stations ran out of water. He also commented that the volunteers from St. Johns Ambulance were amazing with the many runners who suffered heat exhaustion.
