On Saturday 10th April 318 people completed the Lambton 10K in the grounds of Lambton Castle. Due to Coronavirus runners were grouped in sets of 6 and started at 2 minute intervals. It was a very friendly atmosphere with everyone just pleased to be able to take part in what was probably their first race for over a year. The weather was perfect with bright sunshine, clear blue sky and not a breath of wind, although a chilly 2 degrees. The course was a mixture of wooded trail, fields and a small amount of tarmac. Gently undulating with some ‘steeper’ inclines in the second half of the race! Competing for Teesdale AC were Joshua Mawer and his dad Nige. Josh was running only his second 10K and came home in 3rd place with a time of 40.59 minutes. Dad was following (from afar!) and came home in 16th position with a time of 46.24, managing to finish 1st in his age category. Both were really pleased with their mornings exertions.
