Join Us – Seniors (18+)

If you would like to lose a few pounds or get fitter, why don’t you come and visit one of our training sessions and talk to one of the coaches or a committee member about a training plan.

Teesdale Athletic Club meet at various locations in Barnard Castle on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm.

The sessions usually last about an hour and include speed and hill work.

Each session is tailored to each athlete’s ability and we cover a wide age range, so nobody will be made to feel inadequate, we are not an elitist club.

In the summer months we use The Bowes Museum grounds, the Desmenes, and the riverside near Deepdale.

During the winter months we use The Bank and various locations in the town depending on the aims of the session.

We have members who compete in triathlons, road races right up to marathon distance, fell running, cross country and orienteering events.

Teesdale Athletic Club are members of the North Yorkshire & South Durham League which holds Cross Country meetings that take place in the winter months and also track and field meetings in the summer months.

We are affiliated to UK England Athletics and all our coaches are highly qualified and experienced UK athletics coaches. Whether you are a five minute or a ten minute miler we can certainly help you improve your fitness, so why don’t you come and meet us – we would love to see you.
