Teesdale Athletic Club Juniors group includes both boys and girls aged between 11 and 17 years of age.
We meet at the Post Office in Barnard Castle on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00pm and the session usually runs until 7:00pm.
All sessions are led by a highly qualified coach and the training schedule is tailored to suit the athlete’s ability, with each session starting with a warm up and then a stretching routine.
Teesdale Athletic Club are affiliated to the North Yorkshire & South Durham League which holds Cross Country meetings that take place in the winter months.
This group of young athletes are encouraged to compete in some of the races in our Club Championship calendar. We have had athletes start with Teesdale Athletic club and have gone on to represent Great Britain at senior level.
If you would like to come and talk to one of the coaches or a committee member we would love to see you. Why not come along to one of the training nights and see if it is what you are looking for.
You do not have to join the club right away as we give everyone a couple of sessions to decide if it is for them.
When you become a member, you will be added to our sports management App which has access to all our training sessions and events.
For Juniors under 16, we ask that a parent/carer contact the Club in the first instance. All communications with under 16s includes a parent/carer guardianship overview. Please contact the Membership Secretary for further information about Membership categories and fees.
