Route Description
The Teesdale Athletic Club Boldron Circular is a 15.2 km (9.32 mi) circular route starting and finishing at Teesdale Leisure Centre.

Route Directions
- Starting out from the Tessdale Leisure, turn left onto Harmire Road then right onto the A67 heading towards the petrol garage but turning right onto Victoria Road. Follow the road round before turning right onto Zetland Road.
- From here work your way onto Newgate via Wislon Road, passing the Emergency Services HQ along the way.
- Newgate leads onto Westwick Road. You should stay on Westwick Road turning right towards Abbey Bridge.
- Cross the bridge then turn right again onto Abbey Lane. Stay on Abbey Lane, climbing gently all the way to the main junction.
- Here, you should turn right onto Church Bank. After a short distance turn left onto Boldron Lane. Stay left through the village and begin to climb the road towards Boldren.
- About the 8.7 km mark, at the junction in Boldron right right and then stay straight ahead heading now towards the A67.
- Exercise caution, turning right into the A67 and start the steady descent back into Barnard Castle, passing through Startforth on the way.
- At the junction turn right then left crossing County Bridge at the foo of the castle.
- Now follow the main road through the town, climbing The Bank before continuing through the Market Place. Staying on the A67, continue on Galgate heading away from the town centre.
- Now turn left back into Harmire Road before retracing your route back to Teesdale Leisure Centre.
