Route Description

The Teesdale Athletic Club Lamp Post Hills on Gill Lane session will test your stamina and endurance. This is one of the most challenging hill training sessions, remember everything you need to complete this session is inside you!

Route Directions

 

  • The session start point is at the junction of Gill Lane and The Sills. Run up the hill to the first lamp post, turn around and start jog recovery back to the start.
  • After reaching the start, turn then run again up Gill Lane to the second lamp post before turning around again to start jog recovery back to the start.
  • Repeat, extending each run section to lamp post 3 then 4 and finally the junction at the top of Gill Lane, turning around to start jog recovery back to start after each run section.

Remember to stop your gps watch, and take time to stretch and cool down.

**The route leading upto Hindon Edge is quite exposed, so make sure you check the weather conditions before you set off and dress according.**
